ANTI HUMAN TRAFFICKING CLUB

OBJECTIVES

  • To create Awareness among the victims of trafficking of their human rights and to empower them through programs.
  • To Raise awareness about human trafficking and informing about the risks and consequences of work abroad and their labor/Human rights.
  • To undertake Research and provide Consultations.
  • To undertake Sensitization and Training Programs (STP) for organizations, non profits, International, non-government organizations to further the anti-trafficking work.

ACTIVITIES

Anti Human Trafficking club of  Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology conducted a regional symposium on human trafficking on 08.04.2024 . Experts from the Indian Community Welfare Organization enlightened the student participants on human trafficking.

Anti Human Trafficking Club   conducted the "Liberation Summit" on 27.03.2024. Registered students actively participated and exhibited their talents. 

AHTC

Anti Human Trafficking club has conducted National Workshop  on 30th August, 2022 in association with International Justice Mission. Prof. Dr.G.Jaya Gowri, Principal, Government Law College, Vellore was the chief guest ,  Mr.Solomon, Senior Lead, Government and Community relation, International Justice Mission and other speakers enlightened the students with their views on Human Trafficking.

 

Anti Human Trafficking Club was inducted by School of Law, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology on 17th September 2019. Mrs.Sharmu Rajan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram District delivered the inaugural address.
