Three of our engineering students, whose oratory skills identified by the "Lead Talk" programme of our institution were encouraged to participate in the oratorical contest conducted by Sardar Vallabhai Patel Memorial Trust, Bharatiya Vidya Kendra in Mylapore, Chennai on 15th October, 2017. They delivered talk on the topics of "Role of youth in nation building", "Sardar Vallabai Patel- His life and contributions to the nation" and "India with its neighbours-the way forward". Mr.Bhaskar Choudhury of II B.E. (CSE) has won First prize in Hindi and also Second prize in English, Mr.Soumyadeep Deb of IV B.E. (CIVIL) has won Second prize in Engish, Ms..Aparna Narayan of II B.Tech (Bio-Tech) has won consolation prize in English. They were given prizes on 31st October, 2017 by Thiru.Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Tamilnadu.
