Dr. T Sasipraba, completed her graduation in Computer Science and Engineering, started her academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Sathyabama Engineering College then ) in the year 1995. She grew professionally in a span of 25 years, which is evident from the various designations administered by her. As a Professor and Head of the Department of IT, from 1999-2010 she proved effective in teaching more than 11 batches of students, operated several research projects worth of 125 Lakhs as a Principal Investigator and 400 Lakhs as a Coordinator sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology ,AICTE,MHRD,ISRO etcand affiliated the department to various professional bodies which fetched her the Best Teacher Awards for the outstanding performance .She also received Cognizant Technology solutions ‘Best Faculty Award’ in recognition for her excellence in Teaching and Research.

She got elevated as Dean (Publications and Conferences) in 2010 and took the initiative of organizing more than fifty International Conferences in all fields of Engineering, Technology,Sciences and Management in collaboration with several world class Universities and reputed organizations pan India. As an outcome, she has edited several Conference Proceedings which were indexed by Scopus/WoS. She also took additional charges as Dean (Research and Development) since 2014 and ventured into need Specific Consultancy Services for laboratories affiliated with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) & Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). She also brought to the institution an added feather of Centre of Excellence for Energy Research bestowed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the FAST Scheme for which she continues to be the Coordinator. Location Based services for Emergency Management, GIS based Web services for emergency management, Detection of Harmful Radiations in the Environment by Deploying Wireless Sensor Network, Location Based Services for Everyday essentials are some of her other promising projects with high scope for societal applications.

Her dedication and commitment earned her the status of Pro Vice Chancellor of the 32-year old pioneer technical institution since December 2016. All through her career, she has been distinguished by her unique working style and has been a key person who has contributed to the development of various new initiatives of the Institution. She has been creating platforms for academicians and scientists to come together and share their ideas. She has been a reliable choice of the Management to represent the Institution in several international forums convened across the globe that gave wider visibility of our institution to students, researchers and teaching fraternity worldwide. She has represented Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in NAFSA (National Association of Foreign Student Advisers) Annual conference and Expo, a networking event for all international educators who support international education, organized in USA, for three consecutive years from 2017-2019. She also regularly participates in EAIE (European Association for International Education) Conference and Exhibition, organized in European Countries and EURIE, an International Higher Education Summit organized in Turkey. Such visits to countries like USA, South Korea, China, Turkey, Indonesia, Middle East, European countries have been a threshold to signing of several Memorandum of Understandings with good foreign universities like the University of Lorraine, France; University of Alaska, USA; University of Florida, USA; Georgetown University, USA for nourishing Students Exchange, Staff Exchange , Collaborative research and joint Conferences.

She has been a member of FICCI Higher Education Delegation to South Korea during April,2019 and this visit has facilitated the development of strong and meaningful partnerships with some of South Korea’s leading research organizations, top educational institutions and Companies.

Some of the other key roles she is administering include Coordinator – National Board of Accreditation (NBA) since 2019 ,Coordinator - University Rankings , Ratings and Accreditations, Coordinator – MSME Business Incubator , Coordinator - Unnat Bharat Abiyan, MHRD and AICTE supportive Cell at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology ,Chief Superintendent- ISRO,NEET, IGCAR, BARC, TNPSC, TNUSRB, UPSC Recruitment Examinations , Serving as a member in various committees of the Institution ,Research Supervisor - School of Computing since 2006 ,Coordinator-International Relations activities of the University.

She has more than 100 publications to her credit that include Journal articles, Conference articles, book chapters, books and conference proceedings. An inspiring academician and mentor of Research she is guiding 8 Scholars currently and produced 5 Doctorates .58 of her publications are indexed in Scopus and WoS which has earned more than 100 citations with the H index of 5. She is one of the inventors of three granted Patents. Her research Contribution Includes, the development of integrated model for IoT and Cloud for detecting green house gas emissions, Incident mapping using DSS, Quality web service Recommendation system , Efficient web service discovery model and the Design of prediction Model for the impact of climate change.

She keeps herself updated and recently has completed a CMI Level 5 Certification of AICTEUKIERI Technical Leadership Development Programme, by AICTE- UKIERI, 2019. She is one of the members of the Internal Complaints Committee of BARC, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. She is an Assessor of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) since 2019. To comprehend, she is an asset to wherever she is placed with extraordinary skills of handling resources in any critical scenario.
