The Research Ethics Committee of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology addresses the ethical issues arising from research that involves human participants and personal data.
Functions of the Research Ethics Committee
- Promote awareness on ethical issues in research and good research practices among the researchers.
- Approval of the research projects involving human participants or personal data.
- Provide guidance and advice on any ethical issues in research.
- Ensure that the Institution comply with ethical, legal and professional obligations and standards as required by statutory and regulatory authorities.
- To advise the Director- Research in matters related ethical issues and research integrity.
