Dr. Anima Nanda, FNRS, FAB, FIAS - Dean - IQAC

Dr. Anima Nanda holding the post of Dean – IQAC at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University), Chennai, India. She was heading four departments like, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Bioinformatics and Department of Chemical Engineering being the Dean for the School of Bio & Chemical Engineering and head Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her research perspectives on the role of bacteria and fungi in human health by means of nanotechnology have a better control over the drug resistance pathogens. She has Govt. of India sponsored research projects worth Rs. 1.79 crore and one SHRI DST project of Rs. 47 lakhs is running with two are in process. She has more than 187 publications in high impacted national and international journals and book chapters to her credit, she has produced 12 Ph. D. students and 6 are continuing. She has delivered more than 50 lecturers as an invited speaker in national and international level.  To her credit, Dr. Nanda has one Patent entitled on “Title: Heuristic height adjustable track mechanism for a stair climbing wheelchair”- with (Patent Application No/ 1654/CHE/2012) for physically challenged person.  Honored with Fellow of Natural Resources and Conservation (FNRS), Fellow of Applied Biotechnology (FAB) and Fellow of Indian Aerobiological Society (FIAS) and also received twice best teacher award, gold medalist and best project award, chaired number of technical sessions and life member of varied societies including American Nano Society and Indian Nanomedicine and a reviewer of Science direct, Springer, Nature scientific journal etc. Also serves as Assessor of NAAC and NABL.
