Students Achievements

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology NCC cadets from Airforce and Navy were recognized for their service under category “WOMEN IN UNIFORM” in the WOMEN’S ICON 2019 conducted by Master Mind Foundation. These cadets received awards from the honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri Banwarilal Purohit on 2nd March, 2019. Our cadets had the opportunity to meet and interact with Shri V. Kalyanam, the Personal secretary of the Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhiji (1942-1948) and the first woman Psychiatrist of India, Dr. Saradha Menon.

Mr.Samarjith Roy, Final year B.E. (EEE) student of Sathyabama has participated and won in the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students held in Sochi, Russia from 14th to 22nd October, 2017 as a representative of India. His team has won Gold Medal in Curling Tournament and was awarded with "Best Presenter Award" for the presentation on "Space technology and role of Youth in Space technology". The Festival witnessed 20,000 participants from 185 countries across the globe.

Three of our engineering students, whose oratory skills identified by the "Lead Talk" programme of our institution were encouraged to participate in the oratorical contest conducted by Sardar Vallabhai Patel Memorial Trust, Bharatiya Vidya Kendra in Mylapore, Chennai on 15th October, 2017. They delivered talk on the topics of "Role of youth in nation building", "Sardar Vallabai Patel- His life and contributions to the nation" and "India with its neighbours-the way forward". Mr.Bhaskar Choudhury of II B.E. (CSE) has won First prize in Hindi and also Second prize in English, Mr.Soumyadeep Deb of IV B.E. (CIVIL) has won Second prize in Engish, Ms..Aparna Narayan of II B.Tech (Bio-Tech) has won consolation prize in English. They were given prizes on 31st October, 2017 by Thiru.Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Tamilnadu.

Mr.Ajay Kumar (IV B.E.(CSE)), President of Rotaract Club, Student Development Cell received the Best Donor Award 2017 in the 41st Annual award function organized by Madras Voluntary Blood Bureau for arranging more than 500 donors during the Blood Donation Camp held in our campus.

Md.Nawazuddin presented a paper on Wearable Safety Device for Women and secured the appreciation of 'Best Paper of The Session' in International Conference On 'Advances in Engineering and Technology Research(AETR-16)' held at Thailand on June 23- 24, 2016.

Mr.Prithiv Dev, an iOS developer, received a scholarship by Apple Inc. to attend a Five Day developer Conference WWDC at San Francisco, California in Moscow Convention center from June 8th to June 12th, 2015.

The research proposal titled “DESIGNING OF APPLICATION OF SPACE PROGRAM” of Ms. Jasleen Josan, final year student of Aeronautical Engineering Department, was selected in the competition conducted by NASA from 6th to 8th June 2014 at Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL 35811. She has been invited for the Second phase of the competition which is going to be held in Russia in May 2015. Her another research paper on “MATHEMATICAL APPLICATION IN AEROSPACE FOR SAFETY MEASURES”, in American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE 2014) which was held in Orlando, Florida US from 8thto 11th June, 2014 was also won the first prize for the best presentation.
