Sathyabama Institute ACM Student Chapter
Founded on 13th December 2021, the Sathyabama Institute ACM Student Chapter is a growing community of students passionate about computing, innovation, and technology-driven problem solving. As an active chapter under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, we bring together learners who aim to explore new technologies, build real-world projects, and contribute to the global computing ecosystem.
Our chapter focuses on all major areas of computing—software development, AI & ML, cyber security, data science, cloud technologies, and more. We encourage students to apply computing across various domains such as healthcare, education, business, and social impact, enabling interdisciplinary growth.
As part of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)—the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society—we make use of global resources, expert connections, and collaborative opportunities to support student learning and development.
Our mission is to spark curiosity, enable collaboration, and help students discover the limitless possibilities of computing. We aim to be a supportive and inspiring space where students feel motivated to learn, innovate, and become future-ready technology professionals.

Key Activities & Initiatives (2025)
Debug Feast 2025 – Battle of Brains & Taste Buds!
Debug Feast 2025, organized by the ACM Sathyabama Student Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing, is a one-of-a-kind coding adventure designed to thrill both the mind and the senses. The event will take place on 17 September 2025 at the Dental Auditorium.
Participants will face intense debugging challenges — fixing logical errors, cracking hidden outputs, optimizing broken code, and competing in rapid-fire debugging sprints. Each round gets tougher, pushing students to think faster and code smarter as they fight for the top spot. But Debug Feast adds a fun twist — special penalty and bonus rounds featuring weird and wacky food combinations
From unusual snacks to unexpected mixes, participants must conquer surprising taste challenges while keeping their focus sharp — making this event a test of logic, nerves, and stomach strength! With enthusiastic faculty mentors and the ACM student crew leading the show, Debug Feast 2025 promises:
High-energy competition
Skill-boosting tech challenges
Loads of laughter and unforgettable memories
Only those who can debug under pressure — and handle bizarre bites — will emerge as true champions!

Voyage 2025 – Talent Tech Fiest
Voyage 2025, hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, is a two-day students’ fest organized in association with the ACM Student Chapter. 1st Year Inauguration – 2025
The ACM Sathyabama Student Chapter welcomed the new batch of first-year students with an engaging inauguration session. The event introduced students to ACM’s vision, opportunities, and technical community initiatives within the School of Computing. The session encouraged active participation in upcoming events, workshops, and innovation-driven activities, marking the beginning of their exciting journey ahead.
The session was hosted by Ms. Jeevitha V, Secretary of the ACM Sathyabama Chapter, who delivered the introduction and guided the flow of the event. Our Chapter Mentor, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Professor & ACM Faculty Coordinator, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech on ACM’s global presence, pride, and career-building benefits. Following this, Mr. Rokith S.V, Chairperson of the chapter, explained the membership process and the wide range of opportunities students gain through ACM. Several other core members also shared their personal experiences and encouraged first-year students to actively contribute to the community.
Additionally, a dedicated inauguration programme was held at the Sriperumbudur Campus, where students and faculty from the Chennai Main Campus travelled to join the ceremony. This extended session emphasized the unity between both campuses, engaged students with campus-wide community spirit, and provided a comprehensive orientation into the ACM chapter’s activities across all locations.
