Dr. G. Sundari is a distinguished academician with over 28 years of experience in teaching, research and academic administration at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. She is graduated  in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India), earned in 1997. She completed her M.E. in Applied Electronics from Anna University, College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, in 2002, and obtained her Ph.D. in Wireless Sensor Networks from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in 2011.

Dr. G. Sundari has led numerous academic  initiatives and served as the Principal Investigator for a research project funded by CVRDE, DRDO. She has also secured funding from   AICTE, DST, TNSCST  for organizing Short-Term Training Programs (STTP), Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and national-level seminars and also from UBA.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. G. Sundari has over 50 indexed publications in reputed journals, published 6 Patents and has guided seven Ph.D. scholars to successful completion. Her areas of research interest include Wireless Sensor Networks and Image Processing. She is also a peer reviewer for various international journals and serves on the doctoral committees of several reputed institutions.

She currently serves as the President of the Institution Innovation Cell at Sathyabama, established under the aegis of MHRD’s Innovation Cell, where she has played a key role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

She is the author of four books and co-author of several book chapters focusing on emerging areas such as Artificial Swarm Intelligence and the Internet of Things. Her excellence in teaching and research has earned her several accolades, including the Best Teacher Award and Cognizant Technology Solutions' Best Faculty Award.

During her tenure as the IEEE Branch Counselor, the IEEE Student Branch at Sathyabama was recognized as the Best Outgoing Student Branch for achieving the highest membership. She is a life member of several prestigious professional bodies including IEEE, IETE, IEI, and QCFI, and holds important academic positions such as member of the Board of Management, Board of Research, Academic Council, and Institutional Bio-Safety and Ethical Committee at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.
